Repeating an exam & overall mark

    Hi,

    I've an exam to repeat in August, and I was wondering how the overall mark is calculated after the repeat.

    I've read through the Marks & Standards, but I'm still not 100% sure how it works out.

    Is your overall mark automatically set to a Third-Class Honours providing you pass, or is it just that specific module that is limited to the 40% mark, (and just calculate as usual, taking your repeat mark as 40%)?

    Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

    It will just be the module you repeated that is capped at 40%.

    So say in your repeat you get 65% for that module, when calculating your overall grade for the year a mark of 40% will be used for the repeated module.

    I was thinking that the whole year's worth of work would be down the drain over the one module!
