Wait till jan and buy the new merc citan!

Out of the 2 you said, caddy hands down is the better van but its the most expensive in its class, the fiat one of the cheapest

If your tall get a caddy with an adjustable seat, the one I had wasn't and was hard to get a nice driving position.
Can't remember exactly what mileage I was getting out of a tank think about a min of 700km mixed driving, it's being awhile don't quote me on it.

Was nice to drive, didnt exactly come with a lot of extras, no elec windows or elec mirrors.
    But the stereo was alright.

    Never driven the fiat.

Fiat is roomy for it's size (I'm 6ft 2 and fitted comfortably in one), parts are cheap. Drove one a few times, my mate bought one and was delighted with it. Still has it 3 years later!

Don't know much about the Caddy, except they're everywhere.

Love the Caddy's, the SDi is a bit on slow side but no turbo to worry about and should go on and on. If you need the extra oomph the TDi with PD 105 engine is way to go. Lots of high mileage abused models out there. Dual mass flywheel/Clutch can give trouble on hard-worked models. Economy is great and lots of low-down torque. They hold their value very well so its hard to get a good deal on one as they're snapped up so quickly. The Fiat has either the 1.9 JTD engine or the more recent 1.3 CDti GM found in lots of Opels. They're utterly gutless low down. Reasonable fuel consumption but not as good as you might think ! Timing chain can give bother if the service schedule isn't adhered to. Again dual mass fly wheels can explode on them. Lots or UK/Royal?An Post ones knocking about. On both vans look for service history !!

Yep its a kangoo, body and engine but with a merc front end which looks very nice. Mercedes looked at the engine and said they could not improve on it. Interrior is going to be merc so will be finished much better than the kangoo inside an will have alot of nice options available. Cant wait to see one in the flesh because all iv seen so far is pictures
