Accidentally killing browser.

I sometimes accidentally kill the browser. I'll be writing some long winded reply and go to use shift or something and hit a wrong key somewhere and kill the whole damn thing ruining literally minutes of work.

What am I pressing ?? I'm using Chrome on Ubuntu but these things are probably universal right ?

Not sure, have you tried to re-install chrome?

I know ctrl + w will close a tab, but surely you'd get a warning before closing the whole browser.

Thats it. I probably inadvertent hit ctrl with shift when trying use an uppercase W. Ctrl + shift + W kills the entire thing. No warning or nuffin even with ctrl + w with only one tab open.

Can it be changed ?

Not sure I'm using a chromium build (called iron) and couldn't find it in settings.

You'd probably have to add a parameter to the shortcut/link.

Actually this extension might help over-ride the default shortcut keys in chrome.

I tried it but Ctrl + w cant be edited, Ctrl + Shift + W isnt listed and neither can be entered as new shortcuts (just attempts to exit the page when I try).

I think they are OS shortcuts but I'm using Gnome shell.

Those particular shortcuts are not listed in the system shortcut menu.
