Pay Slip but no Wages

during the snow period dec 2010 I missed about 10 days work, I had holidays built up and presumed it would be a good time to take them but my employer later said he couldn't afford to give me holiday pay at this time and therefore my weekly wages would not have been in full. I was paid sporadically during this time and left 2000euro short overall. I have now recieved my notice of termination and decided that I'd check into this unresolved issue of outstanding holidays. I asked our company accountant for pay slips relating to the weeks I was left short but the payslips show a full weeks wages for every week?? which I guess means that my PRSI and income tax was paid as if I was working full time but I did not get these wages?? What can I do?

Get the payslips and then go to your bank and get statements going back to when you need. Then I'd show the statements to the accountant and tell him to sort it out.(Assuming that the statements will show a difference between what was paid in and what your pay slips from then say was paid in)

Thanks Ken - it would show a difference if I was getting paid via the bank but it was cash literally handed to me in the office, it has been cash for awhile now since business went bad.

To be honest I've worked here since 2002 I'n not looking for a quick buck because I'm being let go, my employer changed from partnmership to a sole trader in 2009 and then to a Ltd. company in 2010. He had promised that he would carry all my redundancy, holiday entitlements with every change in company but he went back on his word and I'm owed 3470euro to date from him personally as a sole trader which I will never see and I also ended up getting 60% redundancy off the state last year for my first position as I'm not in employment long enough with any of the latest companies.
