Linky: Invisible bike helmet... cool :)
They began surveying people on the streets to understand exactly why urban cyclists were choosing not to wear a helmet. This research led Haupt and Alstin to believe the best helmet they could create would need to be invisible. The Hövding Invisible Helmet is a fabric collar containing a built-in airbag designed to inflate around a cyclist's head on impact. The fabric shells of the collar are replaceable and meant to be changed based on weather and style, which makes for a stylish piece of safety gear that will save your hair and, most importantly, your life.

    Only $600...!

just had this flash in my head
They were a double pair of Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses, which had been specially designed to help people develop a relaxed attitude to danger. At the first hint of trouble they turn totally black and thus prevent you from seeing anything that might alarm you.

i was think that you would get a curtain in front of your face to protect that

Apparently it is "by far the best cycling helmet" according to Swedish insurance company Folksam. Running Google Translate on the article makes for amusing reading, at least, with phrases like "[the helmet] is blown up in an accident" creating some interesting images.

And then there is "Every day, hit four cyclists in Sweden of head injuries, which is the most dangerous thing you can experience when you bicycle." which I read in the voice of the Swedish Chef from the Muppets.

Of course there is also "Half of all head injuries are avoided if the rider has a helmet,..." which I read in the voice of someone who is just making sh1t up as they go along. Much like the author of the article linked to does, with their reference to "it'll save your life in an accident", without even a hint of a self conscious disclaimer.
