Can we use Genius Bars in USA?

    Hi folks,
My iPhone 4 had a minor fall over the weekend. No cosmetic damage at all and phone is working fine, so I thought I got away with it. However, my battery has been terrible since - it can't hold a charge at all... it will lose most of the battery within a couple of hours even if left on standby!

I tried a reset and a full restore, it made no difference.

I happen to be over in Boston next week with work. I believe genius bars in the apple stores do a battery replacement (apparently they just give you a refurb'ed phone) for about 70 dollars.

I'm wondering has anyone here gotten service from a Genius bar while abroad? Or will I have a problem, considering my phone is irish-purchased and locked to an irish network? And it's also out of warranty, if that makes any difference.

Last year I got a replacement iPhone 4 from a Genius Bar in London (they didn't charge me anything) and it was 15 days out of warranty.

You need an appointment online before you go in ... http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

    Excellent, thanks lads.

It's long gone out of warranty - it's about 18 months old now, but I don't mind paying a few quid for an out-of-warranty repair / replacement, if that's on offer.
