    Hi All,

Just a quick thread about applying for dentistry in TCD for semester 13/14.. I'm 26 and have been working for a few years as a jewellers assistant... saving money. I have a primary BA degree and I had previously wanted to study some sort of Masters course.. having reviewed my situation carefully.. I would absolutely love to be a dentist.... I have been studying a few basic orthodontic books some months now and Im, well.... hooked. I have a good knowledge of many of the tools used (Same as jewellery trade), Biology is my forte, and I am used to dealing with the public and My passion is really making people happy....

Anyway enough personal info, I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to how best to prepare for applying for the course.. ie. Interview, areas to pre-study further and how to approach fees/ loans etc... any and all help is greatly appreciated. Would also love to hear from any undergrads of my own age or older as to how they find the pace of the course and is it poss. to work part-time too.

    Regards,

    Robert.

From what I know dentistry is a full time course (i.e. 9-5 everyday) so a part time job would be difficult to maintain.

Hi. Just wondering can someone go about doing dentistry as a mature or undergrad without having already a degree? Cheers in advance :-)

Yes to both. It's an undergraduate degree course.
