Does an airtightness membrane such as Siga also work as a vapour control layer? According to insulation websites a vapour control layer is needed under the roof insulation and is the airtigtness membrane also a vapour layer?

    1. yes, taped and sealed etc and installed to the inside of the insulation
    2. that's right, and not installing one (along with a lack of ventilation) is a major cause of mould in Irish homes
    3. you asked this in question 1.
