honda cutting out

    any1 here with a civic 05 tdi?


    friend off mine took his car to 2 men none of them can fix it just wanted to know did any1 have this bother?


    - driving at say 100km the car losses power will drop way back to 50km think he has to pull over, turn off then back on again


    there was senors changed but still the same

    Sounds like its going into limp mode. That was an Isuzu based engine consider pretty solid ... Get a HDS computer onto it and it will tell all

    Oh wait - if it's a 1.7 then it's the old lump if it's a 2.2 then it's Hondas home grown. If 2.2 fuel filter is very important only use OEM. When was it changed last?

    its been changed not that long ago and its the 1.7tdi


    the 2 he went to didn have a clue only thing is if he goes to honda it will be 80 + vat just to get it on the computer b4 they fix it

    Even at that they might not know as well

    Check is the exhaust blocked.
