cable lead for ps3

    Hi, was hoping someone can advise me ..

    just bought replacement cable lead off ebay for ps3, plugged into ps3 , red yellow and white into the tv, selected av channel of video but nothing happening... basically did exactly what we had done previously before original cable was damaged..

    any suggestions to this problem or do i revert back to ebay seller???

    Press and hold the power button for 6-10 seconds, you can let it go after you hear the second beep.
