    Hi Lads, as above which would you recommend for head/chest shot out to 50 yards. Going to go for a weihrauch 97k or maybe a 99s, so just looking for input on cal.

    .22 i would say, but you're shooting a bit too far for an air rifle, especially for a spring one. 35/40 yards is really the max, and that extra 10 yards will really make a difference, especially for grey crows. In fairness, magpies come down easily enough with an air rifle, but greys need to be hit well to actually kill them. .17 fires a lighter pellet and it goes faster, but i never did any shooting with one but i'd imagine they might be too light for grey crows.
