I was at a wedding the weekend and got a small amount of liquid spilled on my phone. Got it turned on eventually the next day and was working fine - got lots of photos and vids no problem - but as soon as the battery died and I plugged in the charger I got the battery symbol with a small yellow triangle with "!" in the middle, but know I'm getting absolutely nothing, and when I plug it into the p.c. It doesn't pick it up so not only am I down a phone - I've loads of valuable pictures and vids on it. Anybody had this before and manage to get it repaired?

You know best.....but I dont think this is an Android issue, more of a general mobile question?

From the sounds of it, the water has probably mucked up the connection between the battery and the phone. You might try taking the battery out gently wiping the contacts and the general internal area with a paper towel. If that doesn't work putting both the phone and battery in a ziploc bag with a desiccant pack and leaving it overnight might do some good.

To be honest though, if it was ok afterwards and then went again, my wager would be that some water got trapped inside and as it got jostled around in your pocket or wherever, made contact with something sensitive. Still worth trying the tips above though.

    Try this:

The article applies to an iphone but there is not a reason why it shouldn't work with your SGS3.

I switched my sisters battery from her SII and it started up straight away, which means its the battery. Didnt think liquid would damage a sealed unit like that? there is no sign of corrosion on the contacts at all.
