Roc d'Azur question

    Hi folks,

I'm considering doing one of the Roc d'Azur events in October - specifically the Roc Challenge and I'm trying to get some idea of the course.
If anyone here has done it before and recorded their course, could you send me a link or post it here?

There are a couple of videos on youtube, and I can find some GPS stuff, but I'd like to see a few more, especially to have a look at the elevation gains.

If anyone has any experiences, good or bad, I'd like to hear them too!

    Thanks!

Highlight of my cycling year for the last two years ..... can't recommend it enough! Booked in again for this year. Big gang of us go over and make a holiday of it. We all do two races - the Masters on the Friday and the Roc D'Azur on the Sunday.

It's an amazing experience ..... 4000+ people start the Sunday race!

My only negative comment is that it is quite late to be thinking about entering this year. You will be in a late wave for the starts and accommodation will be hard to find close to Frejus!
But as I say .... a fantastic experience!

    Thanks for that C3PO.

I had never heard of this event before and only learned about it a few weeks ago, so that's why I'm so late in registering. The Masters and the Roc (as far as I can see) is closed, or at least you need a password to register and I can't figure out where to get that! The Roc Challenge 58km is on the Thursday (11th Oct.) and is limited to 275 entrants, and there are still 180 odd places left. Hopefully there are fewer bottlenecks with this size field! It'll be more lonely out there, but a good recce for the future!

I was considering the Marathon 83, but as I've never been before, I thought that it might be a bit much!

I'm sorted for accommodation too; a family member has a place about 40km from Frejus which we can use, so we'll get a nice break out of it too!
