What site to keep stats

Ok, I know there have been a few posts about apps and sites regarding keeping your scores...but if people had recommendations on what web site is best I would appreciate it.

I really only play one course, so not interested in lots of functionality.

I'm actually not sure what stats are the most important. Pretty sure up & downs crucial. I'd like as much insight into the game, where I have to concentrate on when on the course etc.

Any suggestions welcome. Dont really need an app, a website is preferable. Something simple and free would be ideal.

    I use this site

    http://www.keepmygolfscore.com/

Pretty basic but it works and it's free! I use it to track fairways hit, greens hit, total putts, and overall scores.

If there is anything better out there, would love to hear about it.

I use the golfshot app which is all uploaded to their website for easy viewing/number crunching.
I just key it all in online or on my phone after the round, I find it quite good for looking at stuff without having to go into too much detail.

    same here.

I normally input my scores into it just before i hand in a card. I also keep track of my scores from casual / society rounds as well.

I have downloaded this, recording a strokeplay round, cant work out what the little number is above the hole number at the top of the screen.

Don't get ya? Hole number is bottom of the screen!

On the top right you have:
Shots taken (putts beside it in smaller font)
Top number is your nett score on the hole.
The little dot indicates whether or not you have a shot on this hole
The bottom number is your total nett score.

When you are entering a scorecard, the top of the screen has my name, the par for the hole, then a superscript number right after the par for that hole, just before the grey bit that has the running score on it.

If you look at the User Guide, http://resources.golfshot.com/userguide.pdf , on page 27 you will see what I mean. I am probably just being really stupid.

As above thats the number of putts on that hole.

As suggested, I was being stupid. It is putts taken on that hole. Thanks GreeBo.

It's a really good application and paired with Golfplan it is even better. It's an application which syncs with Golfshot and analyses your stats in comparison to the average for people with your handicap. It shows you exactly where you need to improve and gives you drills to do so.

Do you need the full version for these features or is the lite version enough?

I use http://www.egolfcard.com, it's pretty simple - print out a scorecard for the course and record as I go, no messing around with Smart phone apps. If you only want to record for one course, I think it's free to use, else it's only a fiver to record as many courses as you want.

Printing out and bringing another scorecard around with you and then you have to manually review the results afterwards, all for a €5?

I'd rather "mess" around with my app in the comfort of my own home and have someone else calculate the stats for me for free tbh!

Sorry, I meant not mess around with an App on the course. I mark the card on the course and fill them in on the website when I get home again.

Try golf logix. Haven't seen it on the app store in a bit.

Free version tracks fairways hit, gir, grass and sand chips, putting outcomes.

A lot of the Irish tracks I play are pre loaded and you can access all you stays from the iPhone.
