we stayed at the blarney campsite before and found it very good about 30min drive to cobh,

avoid jasmin villa nearest site to cobh i think,
its rip off from the moment you drive in the gate (greedy owners if you ask me)
if i were to break down out side the gate id get towed away before id give them my money again,

I agree on Jasmine Villa...you'd be better off wild camping.
Unfortunately I can't offer an alternative.

HERE where the cars are parked, its called Whitepoint Moorings on satnavs and is known locally as The Five Foot Way.
The parking opposite the recycling area has been designated as a motorhome friendly by the Cobh Town Council so you will be in no danger of being shifted and you should have some company there.
The area is within sight of the Garda Station and has cctv coverage so it should be a safe place, it is also within a short stroll of the Heritage Centre and the many top class restaurants and shops in Cobh.

The definitive answer has been given on this one. But just to add. We stayed in Cobh last weekend. For our one night, overnight parking, stay we left over €210 in Cobh. €80 of which was on a very nice meal in Gilberts restaurant. They were very family friendly with good options on the children's menu.

Great to see another Town Council who appreciates motorhomes and the potential benefits that they bring to the town. We will definitely return.

@Irishllanaber we didn't do the the Titanic experience but would be interested to hear your views so do report back when you can.

I will report back on Titanic center wildwater.
The five foot way is for me seems the place for me.
    Thanks again

Only reason you'd stay in Jasmine Villa is to top up with water and electricity, as happened to us a few days ago.. And no way would you use their "facilities". Plenty of good wildcamping options in the vicinity.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread but I didn't think this warranted a new one. Is this place safe to park?

I was thinking of heading down there for the weekend. I happened to be in Cobh last night and I drove in to have a look. There were a lot of boy racer types hanging around there, parked in the motorhome spots. There were no campers parked up. This was at about 11:30 last night.

    Thanks.

Very popular since it was made official, should be safe as there are c.c.t.v cameras and is in sight of the Garda Station.

See HERE and HERE for full details

Midleton is also a nice town to visit and stay overnight, the motorhome parking area there has services (grey and black water disposal and fresh water refilling). The 'superloo' is to be used for black water (toilet cassette) emptying, see signs.

It's perfectly safe. We've stayed there a couple of times with 3 small children. It's one of the best parking spots we've stayed in, in terms of safety and proximity to everything. There's even a playground for the children :)
