John,
I have a feeling that I'm sticking my head out here a little to far, but X-Plane is the best one of the MAC. Version 10.9 I think is current, with 10.10 in beta. There's a demo available on line at http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/landing/ should you want to try it out. There as far as I am aware, a number of programs out there for converting FSX sceneries to the XPlane format.
