Not as good as I wanted it to be, but not too bad either. I like the mystery introduced and the fact that it doesn't focus much on personal relationships, unlike for example Bones.

Hmmm that one had a strange vibe to it, almost like it was setting up for nate to leave for a while

TNT has not renewed it for a 6th (as yet), EP says S5 finale works as series finale, if needed: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/12/06/leverage-ep-says-season-5-finale-works-as-series-finale-if-the-show-is-not-renewed/160672/

No massive loss. I think it's definitely past its best (S1/S2).

Looks like this will be the last season so producer Dean Devlin insists that he and his team have been working toward this exact final episode since they shot the pilot.
Fittingly, there will be some callbacks. "It harkens back to the story line of
Nate dealing with the death of his son. That comes back full circle," Devlin
says, adding that it's "the darkest episode we've ever done." Could that spell
disaster for Nate or one of team members? "The reverberations of how they all
have to deal with this [case] affects every single teammate in a deeply profound
    way," Devlin says.
