Hiking in or near Navan

I have lived in Navan in three years now, and this year I'm entering University.
These are my final months before I enter the university, and I am simply going crazy at home.

I have been daydreaming about hiking, trekking and camping for many years now.
And I want to do it this summer.

So are there any groups doing it near Navan? Where can I get the information? Who there is to ask for general advice? Any useful info is welcome, although I'm best at talking to people when I need to get something done, so there's that.
