Greetings, I'm looking for a bit of advice, I have noticed some small holes maybe 1mm deep in my road bike tyres. They are gatorskins and I got them after reading favorable reviews about them being hard wearing. Is this normal? I am new to cycling and there is only 500k's on the bike. Can the holes be filled in or are they nothing to worry about?

You can fill them with super glue. Its the chips that are used to surface Irish roads that do the damage. Motor company's like to give journo's a chance to drive on our Sh**te roads but Bike tyre companys test on the roads of europe unless they aiming at the cobbles market

Do you fill them with super glue when the tyre is inflated, deflated or which ever?

Let the air out enough to be able to see them. Pinch the tyre to open them up drop in a bit of glue.

    Wear indicators?

I'm pretty sure we've concluded previously that Gatorskins don't have wear indicators

OP, are you talking about small slits maybe 1 or 2mm or so long? They are caused by nicks with stones and the like and are nothing to worry about. Just check them and take out any foreign objects (small pieces of glass, stones etc) as they will often work their way through a tyre and cause a puncture
