I am looking to change my frameset. Currently looking at Planet X Nanolight and Kuota Kebel. Both are available on special offer at the moment. Currently I am riding a PX SL Pro Carbon, but want to upgrade as I'm joining my local bike club and want to do some racing. Any input and advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

@allsopbike the Canyon is a great bike and bargain at that price!
You could also bring parts over from your old PX, wouldn't cost you much more that a grand to build up all in all. I speak from recent experience :D

I sense there will be a massive increase in canyon bikes over the coming months with all their price drops!!

Holy crap! Looked at this frame a few weeks ago, thought wow, but not at that price! Why the massive drop in price? Also, what are they sizings like, canyon reccommended a 52 to me before, which i consider too small, I'm currently on a medium px and also a Felt F35 rebuild (aluminium frame) that is a size 54 which i find is good for me. Canyon also reccommends a 100mm stem, I use a 110 stem. The Kebel, Nanolight and Haibike RX team are starting to fade..........

Thanks for getting back to me!

You could race on the SL Pro.

The Canyon is always available as a frame only for €999 if you use their Sponsoring programme. There's an additional €100 off at the moment.

To add, I don't see why you wouldn't race on the Planet X either. Is there a reason? First year racing this year for me and I'm using one. Going by a few of the scrapes and knocks received in A4 I'm certainly glad I wasn't on a more expensive frame at times. I'm likely going to hold onto mine for another 12 months before relegating it to the 'hack' but I'd have no problem continuing to race on it at that stage either.

Don't race what you can't replace.

...but if you hold on to the PX frame as a spare, what's the harm?

With the canyon deal this may not look so appealing as its 400-500g heavier than the canyon and only 100 euro cheaper, it sure is pretty though...
