Got these 3 this evening @ 75 yards.
There was a forth but got into the ditch before I could get another round loaded. Hope to get him in the next evening or 2.

Is there a reason you use a sunshade on the sightron mate?
One came with mine, but I don't bother...

No there is no reason. I was getting stuff ready for the range and just went out to see if the cubs were out.

Sunshades are handy for target shooting but not needed for hunting.

They look cool with low mounts when the scope is close to the barrel:cool::cool:

Helps keep the rain off the lens.

It does help keep the rain off the lense...

But I think I read somewhere that they allow in less light/would be determintal to low-light hunting??

3 in the day - Good shooting

Did you bait the area or did you just know there was cubs in that particular area?

Yep. I was watching a video on that too recently. Unless the sun is absolutely blazing down on top of you then a sunshade is only going to hinder the sight picture.

Its funny that people spend so much money on top of the range scopes to squeeze out that last little bit of performance and then they go and buy the longest sun shade they can find because they think it makes the rifle look cool

I knew they were there. The farmer told me about them and I knew they would be out once the silage was cut. I went out at 9 and they were out, I had to crawl for 25 yards to get into position.

Mike this rifle is being used for FTR. The sun shade comes in very handy when shooting out to a 1000 yards and it wasn't bought because I taught it looked cool
