A US man has recovered a vintage sports car he spotted being sold on eBay 42 years after thieves stole it from him, officials in California say.

Robert Russell, 66, said he had never given up searching for the 1967 Austin-Healey, which was stolen in 1970.

What does 'never given up searching' entail? Did he spend every waking moment since searching?

    Die he even sleep?

If the car in the other thread was sitting on a dealers forecourt and advertised online he probably could have just gone and picked it up. Instead its locked away behind closed doors somewhere and he only found out that someone had it when they were lookign for a new VLC. Slightly different circumstances.

Its probably worth a lot more now. But I can understand his quest, I'd leave no stone unturned if my skoda was to fall foul of criminal masterminds.
As I'm sure any skoda owner would.
