I have a 20.5 hybrid I use for second shot on par 4 or 5

I am considering getting a 18 degree hybrid or a 5 wood to use for these shots now but which one for a beginner ?

I'd plump for the hybrid. I find them a lot more forgiving than woods. But that's just me.

In general , for a beginner I'd suggest the hybrid as most people find them easier to hit.

Prob the hybrid yeah, shorter shaft, easier to launch, cant go wrong really. I absolutely love my superfast 2.0 hybrid, rocket

I'll go against the grain and suggest the 5 wood.

Will help you to gain confidence in gaming a 3 wood down the road too.

Hybrids are nice, but they are generally love or hate.
