Anyone ever managed to connect one of these to a fairly new laptop.
My 5MX was so great once and I wondered if anyone had found a way.
All I want to do is use it while out and about and then transfer the text to my laptop which runs Windows 7.
    Too much to hope for?

Wike page says that yoke has connectivity through ifra-red, compact flash or RS-232.

If it has then something like this, Memory card reader on Amazon may be your best bet.

Compact flash 1 and 2 on that, check which the mx supports.

Their is ifra-red adapters out now, don't know how well they work.

RS-232 type used looks to be this one

RS to USB adapters on Amazon aswell. This one
Simple installation and operation with COM port retention provides robust serial connectivity for legacy devices

Portable USB-Powered design requires no bulky power adapter or outlet

The FTDI chipset is highly customizable and compatible, making it the ideal solution for any setup

USB to Straight-Through RS232 Serial Adapter

    Single cable design for portability

Theirs cheaper ones, this option seems very hit and miss to me on windows 7.

I'd go the card route if it definitely has one.
