I have a htc desire, rooted, and running CM7.

Ive got s2e installed, and the sd card partitioned, and the app, data and dalvik-cache folders on an ext3 partition.

Everything was fine, but it was the original 4gb sd card, so a couple of months ago I got a 16gb class 4 sd card.

I Wiped the phone, and configured the same setup.

Now the phone randomly crashes (no buttons respond), and I have to power+vol down+back, and reboot to get back up.

    anyone have any ideas?

oh btw, I can't find the 4gb sd card, so can't go back

Only time I had something similar was a cheap crappy sd card from eBay, caused everything including my laptops to crash, buy a new sd and try copying the files you need onto it with a card reader.

I'd bet its a problem with your partitions on the card. If my memory serves me CM7 was sensitive about that.

If you're moving apps to SD then C4 is a bit slow. C10 are so cheap now I dont know why you wouldnt get one of them.

Get a good SD from a reputable dealer(there are so many fakes in the SD market). Legit Sandisk/similar. I get mine from mymemory(pity they started charging shipping recently).

The reason that I am a little hesitant to fully blame the sd card (or the speed) is because, I wiped the phone again about 2 weeks ago, and did not turn on s2e, and just used apps2sd, and the phone didn't crash once.

If the card was too slow/faulty, then having the apps on the sd card with apps2sd would have caused an issue also, wouldn't it?

I just upgraded to cm7.2..., so will see how that goes.
