Greek island holiday for mother and daughter?

Hi there. I'm just looking for some advice on where to go for a one-week holiday in Greece with the mother. We're after some sun and the sea, with maybe a little sightseeing thrown in, although after what has been a tough year we're both looking for some relaxation above all.

I've seen recommendations for Santorini on here, my only concern is how to get there from Dublin? As we only have a week it'd be nice not to have travel to the destination consuming too many days, although I know that the ferry journeys themselves can be very enjoyable :)

Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated!

We were in Santorini a few years ago. Went with XL on a package deal but they are gone out of business now.

I'd highly recommend Corfu. Its beautiful :)
Lots of day trips to take and the island is gorgeous (as green as Ireland, without the rain ;))

I have one special village I would personally recommend, for its peace and quite.
It depends on how quite you want really!

Direct Holidays fly there on a Friday :)

Thanks for the reply :) We would want it quiet, as in no crazy nightclubs etc., but somewhere that had nice restaurants and so on would be good. I hadn't looked at Corfu, will check it out.

    Any other recommendations appreciated!

You should fly with Aer Lingus from DUB-Athens (operate Tue,Thur,Sat) and booking an onword flight or take the both. A lot of people do this and onword flights are not to expensive.

You could also fly form Dublin-UK and booking onto a Jet2 or Monarch flight which could work out just as cheap.
