General rule of thumb - Management reserve the right to refuse admission.

They have no obligation to let you in. You'll get nowhere.

Maybe they judged that at that time of night you boys would be well oiled.
Were other guys refused entry at the same time?
Could ring to get an explanation but as the first contributor said leave it at that.

I was once told by a lecturer that the line "management have the Right to Refuse Admission" has no legal standing what so ever.

Should have the case details for it around somewhere, I'll try and dig them up

Well as far as I'd know - no shop, pub, activity centre, amusement park, gym, nightclub or any other such recreational business location are obliged to let people in. They can turn away whoever they want for whatever they want.

(I say recreational, because obviously places like Welfare offices, Garda Stations, etc. are obliged to let people in, until there is a reason to remove them).

Worked in a shop for nearly 5 years, we had the sign up but was not legally binding just used as an excuse to keep the rif-raf out...

By boss knew it had no standing legally, but the people we were refusing weren't the kind of people to challenge it in a constructive manner...

Now the law may have changed, but I do remember reading a case about a pub in Wicklow or Cavan who were sued for refusing to allow someone into the pub...settled out of court i believe, Still looking for it but no luck in finding it yet
