Radius 10 feet
Height 15 feet (lower five feet of the walls - vertical)
Width 20 feet
Arch - 2x8 inches

The photos are posted on the forum at workshopaddict.com. The first page will give you a sense of how the builder fabricated curved arches; the second has more of the details. I have no idea how (or if) he got a permit for it.

I went online to see if there was any precedent for building a wooden Quonset hut (there is) and ran across a site devoted to Quonset huts. It contains a lot of good photos and information some of which is familiar and some I didn't know. The Quonset huts are derived from the WW1 era Nissen hut, and that the Nissen hut is loosely based on the Native American Iroquois people long house.

Fantastic vision, only a woodworker would do it ?
It would be interesting to compare the costs of this vs a conventional block construction.
The lack of windows at eye level would be my only concern and I'd love to know how he finished the roof.0 -
