Requirement listed on a job description

    Hi,

I want to apply for a job and one of the mandatory requirements is ‘A record of administrative excellence in professional programme management at a top tier
academic institution or equivalent corporate organisation’.
I took this to mean that I could prove that I would have excellent administrative skills with a reference from my previous employers but now I am wondering if there is some type of qualification or cert that proves this and I just don’t know about it.

Is anyone familiar with this requirement?

    Cheers,
    R

    It is HR bull****.

In your cover letter or CV point out how the previous company you worked for is a leading organisation within its field (for example, it makes the best bolts for car doors) and how you successfully administered X, Y & Z.

    Job specs are normally optimistic.

I would think if you don't have experience in programme management in academic institutions etc. then for sure focus on your previous admin experience and try and highlight the similarities! Good luck with it!
