    Hi all:

    Booking in on-line with Aerlingus.

Having difficulty understanding the documentation received after booking.

I have only received 2 pages for all passengers. (With other airlines I have had to check in on-line.

The 2 page email says, "This is you booking confirmation"...

Do I have to check in on line? On the site it says you can check in 30 hours before and up to 2 hours before flight.

I think my difficulty is the difference between Aerlingus and other airlines.

Do I have to do anything else? ie: just turn up at Airport with 2 pages from email? Of do I have to Check in on line before the flight?

Other airlines charge a fee for not booking on line in advance...confused:o...cheers:)

    Hi OP,

The email you got is just a confirmation of your booking, it will have your reference number on the first page of the email.

    You have 2 options to check in with Aer Lingus;

    1. You can check in online with them using Web Check In 30 hours before your flight.

    2. You can take the booking confirmation with the reference number on it to the airport and check in there. It is free of charge at the airport.

    Enjoy your holiday! :)

All you have to do now is go onto their website and click on "manage my booking"

If you want to have everything sorted before you get to the airport, you can check-in online once there's just 30 hours or less before your flight, that has two advantages....

    1. You get to select your seat before most people so if you're travelling in a group, you have a better chance of all being seated together. There is no charge for seat selection at this stage, you do have to pay if you want to reserve your seat any earlier.

    2. You can download a boarding pass, print it and bring it with you so if you are not checking in a bag, you can go straight to the security queue.

Downloading the boarding pass is optional, you can do an online check-in, select your seat and elect to print a boarding pass from one of the green kiosks when you get to the departures area, it's your choice.

Note that the person you named first on the booking is the principal passenger, that is the surname you will need to enter when doing an online check-in. That person will be the first listed in the confirmation e-mail you received.
