    Are these easy to unlock?

Travelling to US with my iPhone, and would like to get a sim only data plan for a week and jam it in the dongle so I can access web when out and about.

If it's out of contract you can get an unlock code for the 'o2 hotshot'. There's an option to 'unlock sim card' on the device manager accessed through http://o2hotshot.home/

I couldn't find a short-term or sim-only data plan for it though from any of the providers in New York when I was there a couple of months ago.
