Have had my sgs2 since November, and its always been very hot, almost too hot to touch at times. Recently (past week) out has started saying its charging when its not, constantly vibrating as if being plugged in and out of charger, and saying "charging paused, voltage too high" all when it isn't plugged in.

Any help appreciated,I couldn't get through to the Samsung helpline

A friend has just had his replaced for the exact same problem. Turned out to be a faulty USB port.

Just out of curiousity, what version on Android are you on and do you use swype?

Version 4.0.3 and yea I use Swype.
    Phone is unrooted..

Thanks guys I'll get onto meteor and see, it seems like a common enough problem, I just hate the thought of having to send it away for 2 weeks :(

There is a known fault with swype on 4.0.3 (preinstalled version). I ended up freezing it with titanium backup as it was causing my S2 to overheat as well. The phone would get so hot I couldn't pick it up.
Luckily I haven't had that error myself.

You can now install the beta version over any preinstalled version. Goto to swype.com and you can get it from there. :)

It won't fix your phone but at least you'll know when you get it back from repair.
