When and how do I start paying tax?

    Hi. I think this might be a quick and simple question for most here. How much income must I have incurred before I have to officially declare that income to the revenue to begin paying tax?

    Also, what's the first step in doing this? I come under the category of an artist and I would try out applying for the artist exemption but must I have been declaring my income before I apply for this exemption?

    Sorry if the question is so basic but I'm young and new to this and they don't teach this shizz in schools :)
