SAMSUNG Galaxy S3 - How to unbrick?

I have a rooted (Omega v5.1) S3 & last night I flashed the jelly bean fonts & animations with CWM touch but ended up with an error message on reboot which would not let me do anything. I have spent many hours trying to restore previous back ups & even reflashed it with stock firmware but I still get the same error message on reboot screen i.e.
    it says...
    Home Selection
    Clear default in Home Settings>
    Applications>Manage applications.
    Unfortunately, %1$s has stopped

I have access to Recovery mode & CWM plus also Odin on my PC ...can anyone recommend a good tut on unbricking?

Or what are the chances of emobile repairing same?

Don't worry, it's virtually impossible to brick these phones as you're not changing the boot loader. If you have access to cwm you'll be fine

Do what's known as a full wipe in cwm, as in, factory reset, wipe cache and in advanced do a dalvik cache clear. Then flash a full Rom.

    Thanks for help gents.

I am going to do the full wipe & I want to restore the stock rom & start all over again as I don't want to mess up again ... is there a link for stock rom (I'm on e-mobile)?

    Thanks again

Don't give up, stuff like this happens when you mod and tweak. I've gotten boot loops before with my Galaxy S1, a re-flash always sorts it. The custom Roms are stripped of all the Samsung crap and therefore are smoother and better on battery

I did the factory reset & wiped both cache & davlik cache.
I had a nandroid back done in mid-June but it cannot find it (I must have put it on the ext sd card as it cannot find any files on ext sd card).

So I'll have to re-flash with stock rom via Odin v3.04 on my pc).
How ever what is the correct stock rom for e-mobile Ireland - all I can find are uk stock roms for Orange, T-mobile etc? Doest it matter which one?

    Thanks again in advance

I'd just install CheckRom if I were you, copy it to the SD card and install it with cwm. It's based on the latest stock Samsung, has the brightness slider in the notifications. You can install all Samsun apps after with the Kitchen app

Thanks folks, took your advice & I'm back up & running.

Would love to know why it froze in the first place!

Incompatible or corrupt download. It happens. Make a backup now so you have something to go back to.
