Ford Focus Mk2 6000CD Aux In - No sound

    Hi all,

Hope you guys can help. I found the aux in cable behind the glove compartment of my 07 focus, ordered the Ford female 3.5 and connected it up. However when I connect to the 3.5 jack, I get no sound? Do I need to enable AUX? There doesn't seem to be any option in the advanced menu?

    Any input appreciated!

There is a good chance that radio does not have an aux in function at all....
I have a 08 focus, but with a sony head unit, it has a input setting for Aux in.

I take it you didn't have a Aux socket in the glovebox, just the wiring behind it?

    hi mik_da_man,

I had another look at it today - the c block had a load of wires coming into it including the aux pins however they didn't match the colours of the wires coming in behind the glove box. Also when I took out the quadlock, there were only pins 5, 6, 11, and 12 which are for the aux (well 12 is for a mic in).

Got the wiring layout here http://www.fordwiki.co.uk/index.php?title=Quadlock_Stereo_Connector_-_Sony_DAB_/_USB

So it seems that ford wired it incorrectly for aux and ran some wiring to the radio just in case. I took out this 12 pin connector and replaced with the aux cable I ordered from ford, making the one they left behind glove box redundant - hey presto its working great! All functions working for voice control, bluetooth etc so they must have been spare wires for rear seat entertainment.

    Happy days!
    Cheers for the reply
