    hearing that a deal of 35m + Sahin on loan has been struck. 28m first and then 7m when Sahin returns from loan. I would bite the hands from madrid to be honest.

    that's a deal and a half.even if sahin goes on the piss for the length of his contract,well worth it.

    That would be excellent, and suddenly I'm very excited :D Sahin is an excellent player, and if reports are to be true Moutinho wants to play under AVB again and has no interest in going anywhere else. I was very worried about Modric leaving, as he is the only irreplaceable player in our squad, but those two would more than fill the void imo.

    This needs to be wrapped up one way or another in the next couple of weeks. No point dragging it out into late August for the sake of 2-3 million.

    Even more important not to become one of those clubs who are an easy touch in transfer negotiations.

    We can be negotiating with Porto for Moutinho while Madrid haggle with us.

    I don't think there is much fear of us becoming a soft touch in transfer dealings with Levy at the helm. A Carroll/Torres type deal where we come out with Moutinho + £15m profit for Modric would do nicely.
