    My dearest boardies....
I need a bit of help in locating a great band for our wedding...!!! I dont really mind too much about other aspects of the big day but I really do want a good band that everyone can enjoy.
    So..here's the criteria
    - waltzy stuff for the oldies and not so oldies to enjoy
    - popular songs and music that makes you want to stay on the dancefloor
    - I love bands that are interactive with the crowd - you know the riverdance song, getting people up dancing to it kind of thing.

I'm not a 'bandie' type person, as in I dont go to many concerts. I'm more of a dance lover. I love dancing to all types of music.
So if you've been to a wedding that made you think God this music is fab and I dont want to leave the dancefloor...please please just reply with their name! It's so hard to know how good a band is unless you've been to a wedding.

    Thanks MILLIONS in advance :)

Pyramid maybe? I'm not into the whole waltzes and Riverdancey stuff so most of the bands I know of wouldn't be what you're looking for.

The Bentley boys are great, we have them booked for September!

We had the weightless astronauts.... they kinda split the set up - the first part was waltzs etc, the second part the more current stuff and then we had interactive stuff at the end. They were really approachable and would place more emphasis and spend more time on whatever you liked

They used to have residency in the Quays on Sunday nights and think they still might? You could go see them easily then :)

We had Gemini 4 - they were amazing, a great mix for all ages! The floor wasn't empty once all night, which was a big fear of mine! They're based in Loughrea I think, and provide the DJ also..

as always, give a date and a county (dont need venue) when looking for vendors. any replies might not be valid if the vendor is already booked or wont travel to wherever you are which is the case with many bands.
