Problems after retuning

Like a good citizen , i retuned the TV after 2.00pm on Tuesday as told by the notice on RTE.

Now after having perfect reception for nearly 4 months, I find that the saorview channels are prone to break ups, freezing etc. and to add insult to injury there is no sound on the analogue channels. Ok , I know these will no longer work after 24 October , but at least they were an option when saorview acts up.

What part of the country are you in? Do you know which transmitter is recommended for your location or where your aerial is pointed?

Maybe your tv has tuned into a weaker transmission than what you had previously.

Re. the sound on the analogue channels: did you change any 'tv system' settings involving the various PAL variants? Should be set to PAL I.

What make & model tv do you have? Is it a Walker like the one dealt with in this thread?

    Hi,

    I have a Panasonic TX-L32G10B television.
I have watched Saorview TV including RTE2HD for the past year.
Within the past week my saorview TV has stopped recieving TV signals.
Upon a rescan I can receive radio signals but no TV signal.
I receive signal from Mount Leinster.
It has been in the press that there was work at Mount Leinster this week but I rescanned today Saturday and there is no change?

    Help!

I'm afraid the problem is your TV. Do a search on this forum for your model number.

I have a Walker but not the one shown in the thread. I did a complete setup from scratch anyway and it worked! Sound now working on analogue channels. Thanks for the help :D

Forgot to add..digital channels now ok.

    Gerry,

I did a search on the forum, I can't find anything. This television has worked with no problems for 18 months?
Could you give me more information?
    Thanks

Here's one of many threads about the Panasonic's problems. Someone else might be able to help you out with the right file to patch it.
