Flights from 750euro with Etihad: Dublin-Bangkok-Chiang Mai 120euro.

Event: 4 nights 5*Star hotel, 3 rounds of golf, dinner every night, all transfers, etc 420euro

and another few hundred for a few nights in Bangkok.

I went to Thailand back in 2005 on a golfing holiday(or"golfing" holiday im sure yere all thinking), yes there is all the "bold" stuff going on, but if it wasnt for the golf i would have cracked up,
the courses there are top class and its dirt cheap,it was a great holiday which was made so much better by the golf.
    highly recommend it:)

Do the caddies clean your clubs clean during the round? Polish the shaft and heads etc?

    polish the shaft?
who has ever polished the shaft of a golf club?
tbh,the caddies there are really good,
caddying is regarded as a very good job over there and it is taken very serious by the club management, many of the caddies there have gone through years of training.

Is Thailand the perfect golf destination?

I prefer Portugal for its vast array of quality courses and hospitality.

I am sure you had some great experiences in Potugal but you will never feel more welcome than in Thailand and as for the golf courses, They have hot tropical beach courses or amazing mountain courses.
Just my opinion. it is nearly as good as the South-West of Ireland.

There is a thought that you could go to Thailand for the Golf, food, weather, cheap shopping, etc
