Has anyone imported one of these yet and if so did you manage to get in without any custom duty?

There will not be any duty on items below €150, but possibly could be VAT.

That particular one you selected has no radio etc with it. You want the RTF version to have everything needed to fly, with it.

If you know somebody in the uk ,hobbyking now have a uk store and have the bixler there.If you order something that big from abroad you will probably get caught for vat which would be around 20 for that plane and 6 euro an post charge

i have ordered 3 planes and a radio and a load of other stuff form hobbykings HK warehouse and none of them were stopped by customs and also in the checkout page of hobbyking they give you the option to change the value of the order for customs

i dont know about the plane you were looking at but i got this for the young lad and it flies brilliantly for a beginner its very easy to control and glides very well and is fairly fast when given full throttle

I got one of these from Hobbyking, no vat was applied.

I don't think the Hobbyking UK warehouse are shipping to Ireland at present, but the German one does. They're out of stock of Bixlers at present.
