New speed camera blitz?

In the last few weeks, works have been taking place alongside my route home along the N40 and N25 dual carriageways in Cork. These have been to install multiple 'lay bys' for what I can only presume are speed cameras (they are marked 'authorised vehicles only'). In fact, this route, normally only host to a VERY occasional marked Garda car doing checks, and not prone to rampant speeding that I can see, now has these points pretty much every kilometre. Given that some of these points are on off ramps, I presume that they will only be operated by Go Safe vans, or Garda vans, i.e. fine in the post. Is this experience being mirrored across the country? Is there a new wave of speed cameras due to launch soon? If Go Safe vans are operating points on the N25 Midleton dual carriageway, it marks a new departure as I understand that they do not currently operate in 120 km/h zones.

Looks like one being built on the inbound lane to cork on the N71 just after the halfway roundabout.

i've noticed marked GoSafe vans operating (parked up for 3hrs) in spots that they havent used before (ie, since they were introduced)

i have also spotted one of those new "Authorised Vehicles Only" lay-bys , but its not in the list of GoSafe speed cam zones

maybe its for the Garda Robot vans ???
or it might be for something completely innocent .

I don't I've ever seen one of those "Authorised Vehicles Only" ever being used by anyone!

Seen the Gardai use the Dundalk side of the Castleblaney road a few times.
