Bike for commuting to work

    Hi everybody..

    Looking for a bit of help. Hoping to start using the bike for getting to and from work. Only problem is that i dont have a bike :-)


    Looking to get a second hand bike and preferably one that has space for a bag at the back wheel (I'll have another bag on my back unfortunately too)

    Any ideas on:
    - Where i should look? Do bike stores in Dublin sell second hand bikes?
    - Anything i should be aware of?
    - What type of bike would suit?

    If it matters the commute looks like 8.5km so not a big deal.. wouldnt be using the bike for much else. In my head i have a budget of 250 but maybe i am way off here am i?
