I run a website under a new Irish limited company, and pay a few contributors who are located abroad via Paypal or Moneybookers etc.

Am I responsible for getting their tax information or some sort of declaration of their tax country status? I don't really have any contact with them beyond email.

    Hi

Provided that their work is once off in nature and you are not actually employing them, their tax affairs are their own.

If you are registered for VAT there may be some implications depending on whether they are based either inside or outside the EU. You may need to self account for the VAT on a reverse charge basis.
