Hi, I have a couple of American friends coming over at the end of August and they asked me about renting an automatic car when they get here. I know less than nothing about cars so I was wondering if anybody could give me any idea of how much it would cost roughly to rent an automatic (smaller the better but if you can only get larger cars thats ok) here for a week? Any particular companies I should contact, i only really know of Hertz. appreciate any help, thanks

Try http://www.arguscarhire.ie/ They are car rental search engine.

The biggest car rental companies are Hertz, Eurocar, Enterpise, Budget, Avis. Try their websites direct and you might find cheaper prices with money off codes.

I recently used www.economybookings.com twice and got a rental with Budget for half price when compared to going to Budget directly. No negative experiences...
