Tony Browne will line up for Waterford this Sunday against Tipperary at the sprightly age of 39. All the more remarkable is that Tony will line up with Gavin O'Brien and Pauric Mahoney who weren't even born when Tony made his Waterford debut back in the league in 1991. A further 4 players on Sundays starting 15 were still in nappies when Tony togged out that day

Over Tony's glittering 21 year career the only honour eluding him is the Celtic Cross. 5 Munster titles, 1 NHL title, 3 All-Stars and being named the 1998 Hurler of the Year.

Such is the demand of the current intercounty game many a man are now retiring at a much earlier age. We may never see his like again. Tony Browne, a living legend!

Well done Tony today, never doubted ya, great first half performance, got a tour of the ground in the 2nd half with Lar,

Tony Browne, absolute legend, I hope your attitude and spirit rubs off on some of the younger players on the panel and that they aspire to be half as good a servant to Waterford Huring as you have been

Moran should have stayed on Lar for the second half I reckon.

The reception that Tony got as he left the field in what will surely be his last Munster final was exceptional, even the Tipp fans around me gave him a standing ovation, fair dues to them for doing that.

Will be scant consolation to the guy, who will be devestated with the win, but its nice to see the respect he has accross rival fans and counties as well
