MacBook Pro keyboard issues

    I have noticed recently that if I use my mac for more than 3-4 hours, the letter keys on the keyboard stop working. I can still cmd-tab through apps and the light still comes up on caps lock, but the keys don't work.

    Any suggestions as to what I should do?

    Reset the SMC and PRAM and all of that jazz. Check Console app for HID/USB/Keyboard related errors. Try to reproduce from a clean install of OSX from another drive. Failing all that, bite the bullet and bring it in for repair!

    Do they start working again if you restart? If not, it's almost certainly a hardware problem.

    Yeah they work again after restart. I just reset PRAM and SMC so I'll see if it happens again
