Just saw on a news channel that peugeot citroen are looking to cut 8000 jobs in france,a real sign of the times although apparently vw sales are up in france.

    I disagree.

I find French cars to be very comfortable. Am currently using either a Renault Grand Scenic, or Grand Megané GT Line depending on what's in the house drive and what position it's been parked in.

The GT Line is especially comfy, and genuinely a nice place to be.

That Renault gave 3.5 Grand for a 02 Laguna. Hard to argue with that.

Renault and citroen sales in ireland are still poor i believe, renault only made 10th on the best selling list and citroen always seem to struggle so i assume its the same in europe.Maybe their quality issues over the years have had an impact.

Fairly poor model range at the moment from Citroen. It's not all doom and gloom that can be blamed on the economy, Nissan are flat out making the Quasqui, think it's 24 hour shifts they have to keep up with demand, BMW announced they are expending their engine factories in the UK.

    Really?

DS range is really quite a nice line of well equipped, stylish motors. Have never really heard of too many horror stories from modern Citroens to be fair (well, no more than any other brand)

I think alot of BMWs success is coming from the likes of china and india, thats why they had a record year in 2011.Those countries would be aspiring to the higher end marques rather than your citroens etc.

Laguna ... took key card it was off came back car was running card in hand ...

You may be able to start a VW but a Renault self starts.
