Bit more info needed , do you have a pump , is it postive or negative head , is it an apartment or house .

It sounds like its a shower head on a pair of bath taps and whats wrong is it needs to draw more water from the tank to increase the flow to make the taps work. If this is the case then it would mean your bath taps are high pressure and prob not suitable.

If you live in an apartment or a house with a pump its most likely the reads or flow switch is acting up. If it was always this way then it is most likely the pump was plumbed incorrectly.

But as said above possily more info needed.

    why guess ?

most of the time i come across this issue is in apartment blocks in the city center . what happens is the shower head is higher up than the cold water tank and cylinder . the water tank is on top of the cylinder and when you open the shower it doesnt cause the pump to trigger .open a tap (lower down )and the pump triggers and supplys water to the shower also . wrong type pump has been installed from the start ,only way to recify is to change the pump for the correct one but they not cheap .

It is in an apartment, there is a water pump that was changed roughly two years ago. It is the en suite shower not a bath
