Colleges and Tax Exemption

I'm a full-time worker thinking of doing an IT certificate/masters course. I was interested in a particular course in UL but they didn't know anything about the details tax exemption.

The list here - http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/leaflets/s476-approved-it-courses-2011.xls - shows neither UL nor any of the major colleges qualify for tax exemption. Anyone know why?

I suspect there would be a leaflet or something with that list, which would say which colleges / courses qualify.

Specifically, that list only includes course validated by third party organisations (City & Guilds, Pitman, Microsoft) and not universities or HETAC/FETAC.

Here's the full page at Revenue that that spreadsheet was attached to:

    http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/bodies-qualify-for-tax-relief.html#courses

I think I misunderstood the page to include both tax emption rules _and_ the list of college for free fees. I assume now that _all_ bodies mentioned on that page are eligible for tax exemption.
