Can you buy a phone from Vodafone and switch to Meteor?

12-07-2012 1:38pm#1I was considering buying the Huawei Ascend G300 (how do you pronounce "Huawei"?!), which only Vodafone does, so if I bought it there, could I switch back to Meteor, the network I'm already, with my Meteor SIM card? Do you need to buy a Vodafone unlocking code or something? And what do you do then?
Also, I'm already on Meteor, so if I bought a phone on Vodafone, could I keep my number? Thanks!
